Swedish

The most common type of massage. Uses a medium to firm pressure to improve circulation, ease  muscle aches and tension, improves flexibility and relaxes the body, mind and spirit. Swedish massage employs basic moves recommended for a whole body  massage: Long gliding strokes, kneading, friction, percussion, compression. Bodywork is performed on a massage table. Lotion or massage oils are applied during massage. Used most commonly to release stress, anxiety, relaxation… Swedish is the foundation for other types of massages, including deep tissue, aroma therapy, myofascial release techniques.
